We routinely call on a range of friends and colleagues who help us in our writing process: proofreaders, grant-writers, editors etc.
We may also seek advice from professional writers such as journalists or from people whose role is to assess and guide writers towards publication: for instance, commissioning editors or reviewers and members of editorial boards.
They accumulate years of expertise and they also enjoy seeing how a writing project starts to take off – slowly or more promptly – after some back and forth. They share with us their approach to writing.
